Personal Safety Outlet began with a simple idea, a lot of determination, and just three sizes of pepper spray.

In 1991, Angela and her husband, Bob, moved to Florida. After working briefly for a pepper spray company, Angela saw an opportunity to build something of her own. In 1993, with Bob’s support, they took a chance and started a small mom-and-pop business.

​

Angela began the old-fashioned way—picking up the phone, calling businesses, asking for an opportunity, and promising that if they gave Personal Safety Outlet a chance, she would work hard to earn their business.

And she did.

What started with just three products grew into more than 35 years of serving businesses with a wide selection of non-lethal personal safety and defense products.
